In their latest EP, released on March 25th of 2022, Skunk Oil the showcases a more mature sound aesthetic and songwriting than their first EP, Skeletons In the Closet (2018).
The new material is full of heavy and groovy songs that feature great guitar riffs and energetic drums, powerful solos, and lyrics that are embellished with unique melodies.
This EP will surely take its listeners on a journey that explores the inner-self dualities and external conflicts of life.
About the band:
Los Angeles-based, Skunk Oil, is an Heavy Alt-Rock band born out of a sonic collision of the sounds of Queens of the Stone Age, Soundgarden and Black Sabbath. With various influences ranging from punk rock, grunge, metal and alternative AND blues rock, Skunk Oil has always aimed in giving a fresh twist to Rock n Roll, with explosive performances.
Formed in Boston (MA) in 2017 by Dennis D’Angelo ( Lead guitar), Caio Moskalkoff (Drums) and former-member, Lucas Tadini (Keys), the band has changed its original lineup after moving to Los Angeles (CA), with now D'Angelo on Lead Vocals as well, and the addition of Luis Castro on Guitars and Background Vocals and Blue House, on Bass Guitar.
With the new lineup and two EPs released so far, the band's sound has matured and changed into its best form yet, with a lot of focus on highly energetic performances.
All of Skunk Oil's music and videos have been produced by the band, and their latest release (below) gives a taste to the listeners of where the road will lead to moving forward.
